Adoption Council of Canada“We're very happy with the new site c-Seven created for us. What we had before was so terribly out-dated that we received regular comments about it. What c-Seven designed for us means that visitors can now find the information they're looking for quickly, and the new interface looks great.”- Deborah Brennan, Director, Adoption Council of Canada ChallengeThe Adoption Council of Canada is an organization dedicated to raising awareness of adoption and promoting the placement of waiting children across the country. They needed a new website to better convey their message and to inform potential adoptive parents of the steps involved in adopting a child. The Council needed a new way to showcase the abundant resources they'd built and connected with since its founding. SolutionComing up with a new design for the site, based on existing branding, was the first step in the process. Something clean and modern was needed, with an emphasis on the Council's available programs and resources playing an important role. The team at c-Seven overhauled the site structure and navigation, simplifying elements of the old site and using an improved menu system to help direct visitors through the site. Using the Mantis CMS, c-Seven went beyond simple content display. Opting to include useful tools to display recent news from the adoption community, and implementing an event system to help direct interested parties to local events across Canada would aid the Council convey their messages effectively. ResultsThe new Adoption Council of Canada website has gone over incredibly well, people love the new clean design and the easy access to resources and information on the site. The easy-to-use Mantis CMS also ensures that information on the site can be updated quickly, and that the content on the site is as current as possible. |
